Press Release
Concord, MA, January 25, 2002 – North Atlantic Publishing Systems, Inc., a leading provider of content and workflow management solutions, today announced a contract with the United Methodist Publishing House, for the provision of a comprehensive media asset management system. The agreement calls for the immediate installation of a 145-seat upgrade to a 5-seat NPS 2000 system from North Atlantic with whom the group has been working for three months.
By utilizing NPS 2000, the United Methodist Publishing House obtains a solution addressing its goal for a media asset management system, which includes elimination of redundant processes and streamlining storage and retrieval of work-in-process and archived assets.
An initial 5-seat configuration was installed in mid August. Since then, and working closely with North Atlantic, the project team obtained hands-on experience with system function, capability, and extensibility. At the conclusion of 10 weeks, the team was unanimous in its choice of North Atlantic.
The NPS 2000 document management system enables the United Methodist Publishing House to easily and cost effectively manage media assets throughout their entire lifecycle, from creation to archiving. NPS 2000 manages access, version and revision controls, workflow routing, project tracking, security, reporting, and historical usage data. With NPS, users from various departments including Product and Advertising Design, Editorial, Marketing, E- commerce/Publishing, and Prepress can perform a variety of functions - from managing content to creating promotional and advertising campaigns.
